Henry B Harmony
Henry B. Harmony, 90, of Springfield, died at 6:50 pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1922 in Arcadia, KS to Lewis and Ella Darnaby Harmony. He married Geraldine Mikel on January 10, 1948 and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Carol (Fiancé Mike Cain) Harper of Springfield, Patsy (Chris) Downen of Springfield and Janine (Don) Kother of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Ben (Helen) Harmony of Springfield and Lewis (Ann) Harmony of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents; four sisters, Louise Fishwick, Lilly Bain, Lavena Brown and Lela Dykes; one brother, Charles Harmony and one grandson, Zachary Kother preceded him in death.
Henry was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII. He loved fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.
He retired from Allis Chalmers.
Visitation: 11am – 12 noon, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12 noon, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Black officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery where Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.
