Helen R. Peel

Helen R. Peel, 92, of Springfield, died at 1:35 am, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Village. She was born May 16, 1924 in Springfield, to George and Virginia E. Wilson Canham. She married Marvin L. Peel on August 21, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2008.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Betty (George) Androski of Riverton; one grandson, Jeff Peel of Springfield and one brother, Raymond (Jo Ann) Canham of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, David Peel and one brother, Harold Canham and one infant brother Charles.

Helen was a member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.

Funeral Service: 9 am, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend Julia Melgreen officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
