Helen M. Kruger
ROCHESTER – Helen Marie Kruger, 89, of Rochester departed this life on May 3, 2009. She was born January 19, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of John Thomas and Marie C. Grubb Richardson.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother who treasured her family life. She worked as a seamstress, enjoyed cooking, books and handwork and was looking forward to the return of her hummingbirds. She was devoted in her faith and a member of South Fork Church of Christ.
Helen is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, William (Willie); six children; Wm. David, Faye Roth (husband, Bob), Sharon Sakris (husband, Charles), Frank (wife, Pamela), Pamela and John (wife, Gail), all of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Jami Owens (husband, Frank), Jeff Kruger, (wife, Kerri), Ryan Ogden, Todd Hayes, Kristie Pfister (husband, Fritz), Lesley Ramsey, Chad Kruger (wife, Laura), Jenny McGahey (husband, Randy) and Josh Kruger; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters; Dorothy Mordock, Nancy McCandless and Judith Blahofski (husband, Frank); two brothers, Thomas Richardson and Robert Gene Richardson (wife, Alma); and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, from 4-7 p.m. at Staab Funeral Home with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home with Josh Bennett officiating. Burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
