Harry E. “Bud” Roberts Jr. 70, of Petersburg, died at 2:20 pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2017
at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1946 in Springfield to Harry and Freda Pearl Mckee Roberts. He Married Diana Hayden on November 23, 1968 and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Amy (Todd) Henry of Chatham and Jill (Christie) Miller-Roberts of Bloomington; One grandson; Jacob Black. One sister, Donna (Earl) Rhodes, and two nephews; Gary (Kimberly) Rigney and Robin Rigney all of Springfield.

Preceding Bud in death are his parents.

Bud was a 48 year resident of Petersburg IL. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer IV with the United States Army National Guard after 30 years of service. Bud previously had worked as a photographer for the State Journal Register. After retirement, he worked part-time for Comcast.
Bud had many hobbies, which included collecting coins, professional photography, building RC cars and airplanes. He was an avid golfer, and was a proud member of the Shambolee Golf Course in Petersburg, IL.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Thursday, June, 1, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield.

Graveside Service: 10 am, Friday, June 2, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
