Harry Don Combs

Harry Don Combs, 73, of Springfield, died at 9:44 a.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on July 11, 1940 in Carlinville to Harry “Gubb” and Olive Bernice Arnold Combs. His father and mother, Olive Stead, preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Anthony Stead.
Don is survived by a brother, Arnold Stead of Minneapolis, MN and several friends.
He had retired from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue.
Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home
Private graveside services will be held at Mayfield Cemetery in Carlinville at a later date.
