Harold H. Kluckman
Harold H. Kluckman, 85, of Springfield died at 12:56 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home. He was born October 27, 1929 in Pleasant Plains to Charles C. and Emma M. Balster Kluckman. He married Wanda Maddox on May 26, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Edgar Lee, Paul, George and Charles Kluckman and one sister, Margery Castelletti.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda of Springfield; two sons, Mark Alan (companion Getta) of Indian, Alaska and Jay Todd (Galyn) Kluckman of Springfield; two grandchildren, Bradley (Kim) Kluckman and Cassie (Wade) Reedich; a great granddaughter, Charli Joy Kluckman; one sister, Anna Temperelli of Springfield; one brother, James Kluckman of Easton, IL.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, The Group Loyal, Central Illinois Mustangers, Cool Cruisers and VFW Post 4763 of Chatham, IL. He retired from City Water Light and Power after 35 years of service. Harold was a United States Army Veteran serving as a combat medic during the Korean War.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Sunday, July 5, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Additional Visitation: 9:30-10:30 am, Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Monday, July, 6, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Busboom and Pastor Ladd Sonnenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
