Harold A. Deck, 83, of Williamsville, died at 2:20 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on February 4, 1936, in Carterville, IL to Howard F. and Flonnie M. (Dollar) Deck.

Survivors include one daughter; one son; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; one son; two sisters and one brother.

Harold was a career military officer, serving in the United States Army. His service during Vietnam was very important to him. His career led him to many places over the years and during that time, he lived in Germany for 16 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the Army and continued his service with the U.S. Army Civil Service, Department of Transportation, as a driving instructor.

Harold enjoyed fishing and he loved animals. He enjoyed music and even played the guitar at a younger age. He was very sociable and loved to be around and talk with people.

Graveside Service: 1 pm, Friday, June 14, 2019 at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors with be conducted.
