Glenda K. Chapman

Glenda K. Chapman, 65, of Springfield, died at 1:46 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born February 20, 1946 in Springfield, to Earl and Mildred Shelly Jack. She married Robert W. Chapman, Jr. on January 20, 1967 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2006.
Her parents and three brothers, Richard, Donnie and Ajax Jack also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Melinda (Tim) Roth of Pawnee and Mary (Benjamin) Yates of Springfield; two sons, Dan (Michelle) Chapman and Robert Chapman both of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Patrick, Sean, Cole, Amanda, Kali, McKinze, Sabrina and Michael; three sisters, Pat Beaver and Phyllis (Willie “Fox”) Carroll both of Springfield and Cindy Jack of Peoria; seven brothers, Harold (Lorraine) jack of Springfield, Ronnie Jack of Milton, FL, Billie Jack (Companion) Betty Shearburn) of Springfield, Bobby Jack of Canton, GA, Dennis (Sharon) Kessler of Springfield, Terry (Rosemary) Jack of Dawson and Dwayne Jack of San Diego, CA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glenda was an avid bowler and bowled in local leagues. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and playing pinochle and Yatzee.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 noon, Friday, September 16, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12 noon, Friday, September 16, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Gebhardt officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
