George W. Carnduff, 86, of Springfield, died at 5:35 pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born June 4, 1932 in Springfield, to George and Rose Cappella Carnduff. He married Mildred M. Miller on August 5, 1961 and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2017.

Survivors include five children, Donna Kent of CA, Joanie (Joe) Blevins of Litchfield, Karen (George) Guinn of Walshville, Rhonda (Rick) Besco of Yorkville and Greg (Diane) Carnduff of Litchfield; one step-daughter, Debbie Welch of Farmersville; 16 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 daughter, Gloria Cantrall; 2 step sons, Lyle and Rusty Welch and 3 sisters, Dorothy Warren, Jackie Floreth and Beverly Gardner.

George was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from Falstaff and later retired from Bunn Capital where he worked as a manager. He was a member of the Elks Club; American Legion and DAV. He enjoyed golfing.

Graveside Service: 12 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Camp Butler National Cemetery where Sangamon County Inter Veterans and the US Air Force will conduct Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
