Frederick B. Bedolli, Jr.
Frederick B. Bedolli, Jr. of Springfield died peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 9, 1941 in Springfield to Frederick and Emma Theresa (Fix) Bedolli, Sr. He married Mary Rose Sharp in Las Vegas in 1968 and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2017.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Bedolli of Springfield, one step-daughter, Karen Allen of Springfield; two step-granddaughters, Kisty Allen of Chicago and Larissa (Bill) Mitchell of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, including nephew, Randy (Charlotte) Black and their children, Christopher, Michael and Andrew; sister in law, Bonnie Sharp of Springfield; step-niece, Lisa Fox of Springfield; step-great nephew, Jacob Fox.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carol Black; one nephew, Darren Black; one niece, Cindy Black Bileck.
Fred was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and was a graduate of Cathedral Boys High School.
He worked in construction and retired after thirty years with the Springfield Sanitary District. He was a hunter, fisherman and accordion player. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin on the Sangamon River, gardening, bowling, watching all sports and nature shows and the many trips to the Peoria Riverboat.
Graveside Service: 12 pm, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Deacon Mick Palazzolo officiating.
