Frank J. Cole
Frank J. Cole, 61, of Riverton, died at 8:10 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. John’s Hospice. He was born December 26, 1953 in Springfield, to Elmer L. and Anna J. Kohlrus Cole. He married Becky L. Seagle on June 17, 2009 and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lori (Bowden) Barnes of Clarksville, TN; one son, Ryan Cole of Pawnee; three grandchildren, Brayden, Gillian and Aubrey Barnes; one sister, Charlene (Don) Clark of Springfield; one step-son, Nathan (Companion Aubrey Letterle) Knuckey of Springfield; one step-daughter, Ariel Knuckey of Riverton and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents preceded him in death.
Frank owned and operated Central Illinois York for forty years. Fishing was his passion. He was cofounder of Lincoln Bass Masters Club and Frndo Freedom Riders. He was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed gardening, Nascar and was an avid New England Patriots and St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Visitation: 4 – 8 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home. Frank’s request was for casual dress with your favorite sports attire.
Funeral Service: 11:30 am Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend John Ruzich officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Weather permitting Bikers are welcome. A Celebration of Life will continue at Boondocks for up to four hours following the committal.
