Francis L. Treat

Francis L. Treat, 93, of Springfield, died at 3:55 am, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 28, 1924 in Springfield, to Francis and Christine Hollar Treat. He married Mary W. Hadsall on March 10, 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 8, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances L. (Eric) Tangman of Ft. Myers, FL and Mary C. Treat of Springfield; one son, Charles L. (Beverly) Treat of Waverly; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren and one sister, Freida Drake of FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, Harold W. and Joe Treat; two daughters, Edith Brunk and Christine Treat.

Francis was a US Army Veteran serving during WWII. After retiring from the military he worked for fifteen years and retired from the FS Feed Mill in Springfield

Private services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
