Frances P. Sharp, 98, of Springfield died at 9:50 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Regency Nursing Home. She was born February 17, 1916 in Springfield to Wenzel and Marie Petz Pinkova. She married Ernest L. Sharp on February 5, 1938 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1966. She is also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Frieda A. Pinkova and Marie Winter and one nephew, Mark Winter.

Survivors include two nieces, Stephanie (Jim) Coonrod of Cantrall and Sue (Jerry) Grimm of Springfield and one nephew, Thomas D. Winter of Springfield.

Frances was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church and St. Agnes Church. She was a member of the Sears Retiree Club; St. Peter and Paul Over 55 Club and the Animal Protective League. She was employed by the International Shoe Company and retired from Sears after 17 years in the Receiving Department.
