Frances Harrison
Frances Harrison, 94, of Sherman, died at 2:25 am, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Villa Healthcare East in Sherman. She was born August 24, 1918 in Thayer, Illinois to Peter and Lucy Bergandi Genolia.
Her parents and one sister, Mae Seve preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two nieces, Ronda Sanders and Rita Hutmacher, both of Springfield; several great nieces and nephews and one cousin, Rena Bergandi of Litchfield, IL.
Frances was a member of Church of the Little Flower where she actively volunteered. She also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Home, and while living in Chicago, she was also active with the Meals on Wheels program and the Pink Ladies at St. Margaret’s and St. Victor’s Soup City.
She resided in Springfield for the last ten years, prior to that she lived in Chicago. She worked for R.R. Donnelley for thirty-eight years.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery with Monsignor John Ossola officiating.

Frances was a very special person to me.. She was a walking Saint. Her devotion to her Rosary was a wonderful thing. We worked cleaning the Church for years. She was always trying to take care of all of us too. What a Christian example she set for the rest of us. My sympathy to her loving Family.
