Fannie Joan Jones

Fannie Joan Jones, 88, of Springfield died at 2:10 am Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1924 in Italy to Carmine and Mary Cocciolna Marcketti. She married Rolin Jones on April 30, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents and three sisters, Emma Nehring, Helen Midiri and Esther Davis.
Surviving are one sister Ernestine “Gallie” Johnson; one brother-in-law, Charles Davis, both of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
Fannie was a member of the Church of the Little Flower. She was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She worked in the parts department of Friendly Chevrolet for 10 years and was also a homemaker.
Visitation: 9 – 11 am Monday, November 19, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am Monday, November 19, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
