Eugene L. Boos, 90, of Riverton, died at 2:28 am, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at The Estates Senior Living and Spa. He was born August 9, 1926 in Fulton, IL to Lawrence and Alta Bouvia Boos. He married Mary Alverda Tyler in October 1948 and she preceded him in death October 19, 1995. He later married Mary Catherine Marada and she survives.

Also surviving are his three children, Michael (Sue) Boos of Riverton, Kathleen Pearson of Springfield and Therese “Terri” (Phil) Wyatt of Loami; one granddaughter, Sydney Wyatt of Rochester, MN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Maryanne Bristol and one brother, Jim Boos.

Eugene was an electronic and sound engineer responsible for designing and installing audio-visual features at all the theaters in the Midwest in the 1950’s through 1980’s.

Eugene was a pilot and built his own airplane. He was a lifelong member of EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association), Aerocraft Factory and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, motorcycles, and fixing airplanes. Eugene was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

Graveside Service: 10:00 am Friday, December 23, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Raphael Paul DeMoreno officiating. Military honors will be conducted.
