Ethel Louise Hayden

Ethel Louise Hayden, 104, of Springfield died at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Heritage Health. She was born February 15, 1909 in Glasgow, Missouri to Daniel Preston and Bessie O’Dell Bowler Reynolds. She married Cecil Roy Hayden on June 3, 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1974. She is also preceded in death by her son, Donald R. Hayden, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 adopted brother, Jack, and adopted sister, Joyce, 1 grandchild and one great, great grandchild.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Marian (Leroy) Solomon of Springfield and Linda Bennet of Springboro, Ohio; 2 sons, James R. (Norma) Hayden of Roseville, Illinois and Charles Robert Hayden of Jamestown, California, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ethel was a member of United Methodist Church in Glasgow, Missouri. She was a waitress for many years at Art Bensch Restaurant, The Robin Hood, The Flamingo, Elks Club, Skyrocket, Curley’s Lounge and the Abe Lincoln Hotel, and many others.

Graveside Service: 2:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Glasgow Cemetery in Glasgow, MO
