Elsie R. Wells

Elsie R. Wells, 78, of Springfield, died at 8:25 am, Monday, February 11, 2013 at her home. She was born May 18, 1934 in Iuka, Illinois to Lee and Delba Bradley Linder. She married Ronald David Wells on September 3, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1999.
Her parents and one son, Gary Wells also precede her in death.
Survivors include one son, David Lee (Tami) Wells of Springfield; four grandchildren, Jodee (Donald) Billings, Jeff Wells, David Lee Wells, Jr. and Ashlee Wells; three great grandchildren, Jasmin Rutherford, Alan Joseph Billings and LeeAnn Wells; two brothers Chester (Wyvetta) Linder of Spaulding and Ralph Linder of East Peoria and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elsie loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
She worked for Sangamo Electric for two years and Park Sherman Industries as an Assembler for four years, then worked as a banquet waitress for the Hilton Hotel and she also was a homemaker.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
