Elizabeth Anne "Libby" Sees
Elizabeth “Libby” Anne Sees, 37, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on January 19, 1981 in Springfield to Milton and Kathy (Jenner) Sees, and they survive.
She is also survived by her sister, Jennifer (Ryan) Clemons of Jacksonville, grandmother, Ceola Sees of Decatur, several aunts and uncles, Vicki (Lee) Lash of Quincy, David Jenner of Denver, John (Carol) Jenner of Springfield, and Amy Jenner, nephew, Tyler, and several cousins who include Kevin Lash, Brian Lash and Eric Lash, all of Quincy, and her feline companion, Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Sees and Ken Jenner, grandmother, Betty Jenner, and Great Aunt Toby Russell.
She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1999. She graduated from William and Mary with a double major in government and business in 2003 and graduated from the University of Alabama Law School in 2007, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. She worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama. She was a member of the Alabama Bar Association. She enjoyed sports and was a fan of the University of Alabama Football team and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
Libby enjoyed the warmth of the sun, southern cooking, traveling and spending time with her neighbors of Cloverdale Idlewild.
Memorial Gathering: 5 – 7 pm, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Memorial Service: 11 am, Friday, June 8, 2018 at Laurel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Kent Lolling and Rev. Dr. Jerry King officiating. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
