Elizabeth J. Davis, 92, of Rochester, died at 4:55 am, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born June 4, 1924 in Springfield, to Edwin and Marie Mulcahy Murphy. She married John “Fred” Davis in 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2001.
She is survived by two daughters and three sons, Danny (Joann) Davis of Pawnee, Darla Roark of Rochester, Gerry (Lu Ann) Davis of Glenarm, Brian (Karen) Davis of Rochester and Leisa (Mike) Lahnum of Rochester; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Curtis of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, Chad and one granddaughter, Chandra.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Jude’s Church in Rochester.

Visitation: 4-7 pm, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home, with prayer service at 4 pm.

Lie-in-State: 10-10:45 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Jude’s Church in Rochester.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Jude’s Church in Rochester with Reverend Dean Probst officiating. Burial will follow at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
