Edith M. Savage

Edith M. Savage, 88, of Springfield, died at 5:24 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born November 11, 1923 in Mt. Pulaski, IL. She married James S. Savage in 1964 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1979.
Survivors include one son, Paul William Gray, Jr. of Springfield and one grandson, Paul William Gray III of Pampano Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Edith was a resident of Springfield most of her life. She retired from St. John’s Hospital after 18 years as a nurse’s aide. She had also worked at Dirksen House. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Burton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
