Drucilla M. Fahrenbacher
SPRINGFIELD – Drucilla M. Fahrenbacher, 77, of Springfield died at 7:03 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Springfield, the daughter of Verny and Catherine Harney Cantrall. She married George W. Fahrenbacher on July 9, 1955; he preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1997.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Mary Ellen Green, Catherine Blackburn and Theresa Young; and two brothers, Verney and Thomas Cantrall.
She is survived by a son, David C. (wife, Suzette) Fahrenbacher of Springfield; four grandchildren, Skye Fahrenbacher, Dwight Lowery, Paris and David Fahrenbacher Jr.; a great-grandson, Andrew Rapacz; two sisters, Laura Ratkie and Valeria Hohimer, both of Springfield; a brother, Henry Cantrall of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She worked at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and retired from the Memorial Medical Center housekeeping department.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School.
Visitation will held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at St. Cabrini Church, with the Rev. Richard Chiola officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
