Dorothy M. Carr, 85, of Springfield, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born May 20, 1926 in Springfield, IL to Joseph and Josephine Kraker Grobelnik. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers. She married Francis McCluskey and he preceded her in death. She then married William Carr and he precede her in death.
She is survived by one daughter; Kathleen McCluskey of Rockford and one son Gary (Diane) McCluskey of Springfield, one grandson; Kyle Foss and two step grandchildren; Nathan (Lindsay) VanZele and Sarah (Stephan) VanZele.
Dorothy was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at Sacred Heart Church. She was a secretary / bookkeeper for Illinois Grain and Feed Association, retiring after 20 years.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2011 at Calvary Cemetery with Reverend Peter Harman officiating.
