Doris J. Bietsch, 91, of Springfield, died at 11:02 am, Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Regency, surrounded by her family. She was born February 13, 1924 in Springfield to Emmett and Christine Harbauer Rebok.

Survivors include three daughters, Kiara of Washington State; Mary (Bruce) Centko of Auburn and Nancy (Philip) Stone of Springfield; two sons, David (Marie) Bietsch of Bradenton, FL and Richard Bietsch of Springfield; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister Mary Ellen Craig of Woodstock, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and step-father, Leo Smith.

Doris was a charter member of Christ the King Church. She retired from Franklin Life Insurance Company and had previously worked for Sangamo Electric during WWII and for Sears’s credit department.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Monday, July 20, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5 pm.

Funeral Mass: 9:30 am, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Joseph Ring officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
