Dolores C. Patrick
DAWSON – Dolores C. Patrick, 77, of Dawson died at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born June 27, 1931, in Sangamon County, the daughter of Lambert P. and Helena Marie Burg Fleck Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Irene Fleck and Edith Fields; and four brothers, Karl Fleck, Lambert Fleck Jr. and Raymond and Henry Fleck.
She was a lifelong resident of the Dawson area. She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a mentor and a mother to many. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Church in Buffalo.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra D. (husband, Kerry) Wilcut of Marion and Janet E. (husband, Duane) Bennett of Dawson; four sisters, Helen Steele of Buffalo, Leona (husband, Peter) Bakken of Kenny, Amelia Fleck of Buffalo and Cecelia Peters of New Berlin; two brothers, George (wife, Patricia) Fleck of Sherman and Fred (wife, Teeny) Fleck of Riverton; five grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Paul Wilcut of Marion and J.P. Meyer and Aaron Bennett of Dawson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5 p.m. She will lie in state from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2009, at St. James Church in Riverton. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2009, at St. James Church in Riverton, with the Rev. Joseph Ring officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
