Denver Scott Rummenie
Denver Scott Rummenie, 42, of Springfield died at 11:02 am, Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was born April 14, 1969 in Quincy to Gerald Russell and Diana Speer Rummenie.
He is survived by his wife Karista, whom he married June 6, 2010 and his special companion, Bear. Also surviving are two sons, James Russell Rummenie of Quincy and Chase Rummenie of Hannibal, MO; mother, Diana Rummenie Underwood of Quincy; half-brother, Bruce (Tami) Russell Rummenie of Urbana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His father preceded him in death.
Denver was a resident of Springfield for three years and was formerly of Quincy. He graduated from Quincy Senior High School and Vatterott College. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Iraq. He was a member of Real Life Church and played the guitar in the Praise Team. He also participated in the Real Life Church New Commandment Men’s Ministry. He worked at Bunn Capitol. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting and was an avid Cardinals and Rams fan.
Visitation: 4-6 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Real Life Church.
Funeral Service: 6 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Real Life Church with Pastor Clint Cook officiating.
Graveside Service: 11 am, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Sunset Cemetery in Quincy, where military honors will be conducted, with Pastor Tracy Armstrong and Pastor Clint Cook officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Real Life Church Praise Team Fund or to LLCC Foundation for the Brian McMillan Veterans Scholarship.
