Delora May Scott
RIVERTON – Delora May Scott, age 95, passed away at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski, at 1:37 a.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
Delora “Dee” was born on August 29, 1919, in Riverton, the youngest of 14 children born to Albert Strange and Cynthia Elizabeth (Beck) Wilham. She married Floyd Samuel Scott on June 19, 1937. A resident of Riverton for the majority of her life, Delora was a cook at many area establishments and eventually retired from the Riverton School District.
She was preceded in death by Floyd, in March, 1994 and her daughter, Ulanda Elaine (John) Buckhold, in March, 2010.
She is survived by her two sons, Don Errol Scott, Sr. of Riverton and Gregg Evan (Barbara) Scott, of Noblesville, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-granddaughters and one sister-in-law, Gladys (Pick) Moore of Mt. Pulaski.
Visitation: 9-11 am, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Riverton Christian Church.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Riverton Christian Church with co-officiants, Grant Ray and Frank Lewis.
Graveside Service: 10 am, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
