David Michael Anders, Sr., 51, of Springfield, died at 11:10 pm, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his son’s home. He was born July 24, 1962 in Springfield, to Janice Anders. He married Mildred “Louise” Williams on May 14, 1988 and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Tammy (Dustin) Opalka of Springfield; three sons, David (Jessica) Anders, Jr., James Anders and Dylan Anders all of Springfield; six grandchildren; one brother, Tim (Leigh) Anders of Sherman; step-dad, Ted Clements of Billings, MT; three aunts; one uncle; four nieces; nine nephews; three great nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother; three grandchildren; two uncles; two aunts and his grandparents.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sewing and quilting. He was a self-employed contractor for the State Journal Register.

Memorial Service: The family will host a memorial service at 1 pm, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Elm Street Christian Church, with Pastor Paul Cox officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
