David M. Connor, Jr.
The Angels wrap their wings around our dearly loved Dave and departed on: March 17th, 2016.
David M. Connor Jr. was born: February 5, 1937 the son of David and Edna Connor.
We lost a brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and a very good friend. Dave will be dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
Dave served his country in the Army he was a member of a special honor cordon which served during the inauguration ceremonies for President John F. Kennedy. He is a member of the American legion Post 32 and loved going there on Saturday nights for a steak dinner.
Dave became an Iron Worker in March 1958 Local 46 he helped with the construction of Griffin High School, the tower at Illiopolis the dam at Lake Shelbyville, the Arch in St. Louis among many other projects. He then worked for Babcock & Wilcox Construction Co. for 38 years 1968 thru 2006 building power plants all over the U.S.
Dave touched a lot of lives. He was a kind hard working person that would give you the shirt off his back “if you asked” he also never missed a NASCAR race if he could help it.
Our memories are like leaves of gold, they never tarnish or grow old, locked in our hearts you will always be loved and remembered for all eternity.
