Daniel A. Yuska
Daniel A. Yuska, 87, of McAllen, Texas died peacefully, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home. He was born in Chicago, IL to Joseph J. and Mary Yuska.
Daniel attended Immaculate Conception Grade School in Chicago and St. Philip’s High School there. He served in the US Navy during World War II. Daniel spent two years at Quincy College, Quincy, IL. He was employed by the State of Illinois as a Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor until his retirement. Daniel enjoyed traveling and was an active member of the Holiday Rambler RV Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty and his second wife, Laurie, his brother, Joseph Yuska of Kendallville, IN and his sister Jeanne Rymas of Chicago, IL.
Survivors include his sister in law Margaret Yuska of Kendallville, IN, twelve nieces and nephews and their families and very close friends Mary and Louis DeAnda of McAllen, Texas.
Visitation: 11:30 am – 1 pm, Monday, March 16, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Monday, March 16, at Staab Funeral Home, 1109 S. 5th Street, Springfield, IL. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
