Lucille Pinneo, 93, of Springfield died at 3:10 am Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 8, 1919 in Muenster, TX, the daughter of Edward and Mattie Mae (Allen) Cagle. She married John C. Pinneo June 25, 1948 at Grace Community Church in Denver, CO and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1976. She is also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, John (Teresa) Pinneo and Richard (Julie) Pinneo both of Springfield; four grandchildren, John T. Pinneo, Eric R. (Jackie) Pinneo, Diane L. Woodland and Paul M. Pinneo; three great grandchildren, Sully Woodland, Elise Pinneo and Evie Carver; one brother, Edward Cagle Of Lawton, OK.

Lucille was a member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church, as well as the churches women’s club, and Merry Widows group. She was a member of Illinois Bell Pioneers Club.

Lucille enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle. She was a diehard Cub fan and enjoyed watching her Cubs every game and going to Spring training in Arizona.

Visitation: 10-11 am Monday, June 17, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, June 17, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Julia Melgreen officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
