Cynthia Kay Schnirring
SPRINGFIELD – Cynthia Kay Schnirring, 59, formerly of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in Cypress, Texas after a courageous 6 year battle against breast cancer.
Cindy was born in Springfield on July 16, 1951, to parents Frank and Dorothy Embree.
Cindy graduated from Springfield High School in 1969. She married Rick Schnirring on March 5, 1977. She established and was president of Doc Staff of Houston, Texas from 2006 – 2009.
She is survived by husband, Rick Schnirring (Cypress, TX); daughters, Jennifer (Schnirring) Rivera, Michelle Schnirring (Mt. Vernon, IL) and Cassandra (Schnirring) Beltran (husband, Daniel) of Cypress, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Cynthia, Chyna and Nicholas Rivera, Jasmine and Mark Hernandez, Kersten and Kayla Beltran; her mother, Dorothy Embree (Springfield); brothers and sisters, Frank R. (wife, Joyce) Embree of Glenarm, Connie (Embree) Hughes (husband, William) of Goodyear, AZ, Nancy (Embree) Rush (husband, Michael), Donald Joe Embree (wife, Barb), Vickee (Embree) Huff (husband, Robert), all of Springfield; parents-in-law, Thomas and Mary Schnirring (Springfield); brother and sister-in-laws, Tom Schnirring (Petersburg), MaryLynn (Schnirring) Kodrich (husband, Michael) of Scottsdale, AZ, Michael Schnirring and Lorraine Painter of New Berlin, Susan (Schnirring) Miller (husband, Robert Todd) of Springfield; and several nephews and nieces.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Frank Embree; son, Jack Carncross; nephew, Brian Embree; and brother-in-law, Mark Schnirring.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2nd from 5 – 7 p.m. at Staab Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday August 3rd at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Cindy would prefer donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
