Claudia Marie Reynolds
DECATUR – Claudia Marie Reynolds, 96, of Decatur, formerly of Springfield and Moline, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Imboden Creek Living Center in Decatur. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m., with the funeral following at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home. Pastor Joel Stevenor will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorials may be given to Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church or Imboden Creek Living Center.
Claudia was born January 5, 1914, in Greensburg, KY, the daughter of Elbert and Ermine Hamilton. She married Clarence H. Reynolds on March 31, 1936, in Decatur; he preceded her in death on December 2, 1995.
She was an active member of First United Presbyterian Church of Moline for nearly 50 years, where she served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. More recently, she was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Clark and husband, David of Sibley, Iowa and Janet Morton and husband, Don of Mt. Zion; grandchildren, Bryan Clark, Kimberly Philo (Jeff), Cindy Lovell (Keith), Julie Decker (Bill), Derik Day (Janet), Karen Rhoades (Rob), Debbie Persson (Oskar), Pam Hooper, Doug Morton (Sandra), Michael Morton (Tina); 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was proceded in death by her husband; a brother; three sisters; and a grandson, Scott Morton.
The family would like to express their thanks to the caring staff and residents of Tanglewood Village where Claudia resided for over 12 years and to the staff of Imboden Creek Living Center for their care and compassion during the past year.
