Christine "Chris" Venaas
Christine “Chris” Venaas, 55, of Springfield, died at 5:08 pm, Monday, September 24, 2018 at Heritage Health Hospice. She was born April 3, 1963 in East St. Louis, to Henry and Mary Mueller Huck. She married Hal Stultz in 1991 and they later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters, Katie and Liv Stults both of Springfield; five sisters, Elizabeth Huck of Springfield; Diane Huck of St. Louis MO, Deej (John) Dambrauskas of Springfield; Sharon Huck of Springfield and Ginny (Ed) Schofield of Springfield; two brothers, Robert (Shelley) Huck of Springfield and Joe (Debbie) Huck of Virginia, IL and several nieces, nephews and.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jaime Meierdirks and former husband, Kevin Venaas.
Chris was an underwriter for Standard Mutual Insurance Company for twenty-six years.
She was a member of Historic Grace Lutheran Church. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy with the class of 1981. She was active at church as a confirmation teacher and sang in the Choir and was a volunteer usher at the Hoagland Center.
Chris was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed going to BINGO and loved cats. In May of 2018, she starred in Shrek the Musical.
