Charles “Bud” Hauversburk, 82 of Springfield, died at 9:05 am, Thursday, January 5, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born July 18, 1929 in Gillespie, to Jacob and Sylvia Gharst Hauversburk.
His parents; wife, Patricia and one daughter Toni Kistner preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Dan (Karen) Hauversburk and J.R. (Bobbie) Hauversburk both of Springfield; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one brother, Richard Lee (Vanessa) Hauversburk of Auburn and several cousins.
Bud was a resident of Springfield most of his life. He retired from Fiat Allis after 37 years. He was active in lobbying for Auto Workers Union; was town auditor for fifteen years for the Springfield Township; coached Little League for many years; enjoyed hunting; was a charter member of the Prop Club; Honorary member of the PB and PA and handled solicitation for the Policeman’s ball for many years and was very active in politics.
