Charles Eugene Wilson
Charles Eugene Wilson, 69, of Springfield, died at 7:12 pm, Friday, October 4, 2013, at St. John’s Hospital. He was born January 28, 1944 in Springfield, to Charles and Ada H. Carwile Wilson.
Charles was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of American Legion #32, AmVets Post #256, Capitol Lodge of Elks and DAV Chapter 15.
He was a graduate of Feitschans High School and retired from the State of Illinois Internal Revenue Service.
He is survived by three sisters, Carol Chase, Trena Krews and Donna Rutherford all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one sister, Doris Smith of Pawnee preceded him in death.
Graveside Service: 10 am, Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Interveterans will conduct military honors along with the United States Air Force.
Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice or to the American Heart Association.

Uncle Eugene I'l always remember how you played n joked with us as kids. You sleeping in the chair at grandma's or watching baseball with grandpa. Thank you for the family history you gave me when we lost Aunt Doris. I believe heaven n hell are the memories you leave behind. There for you will always live in heaven. Give grandma a kiss for me. Love you all.
