Beverly Ralph, 75, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018, at her home.
She was born in Harrisburg, IL to Marion and Barbara (Milby) Vick.
Beverly married Jerry Ralph on June 17, 1961 in Elizabethtown, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Ronald Vick and Curtis Vick and her precious granddaughter, Sage Ralph.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Brad (Nicole) Ralph, Darrin Ralph, grandson, Tyler Dean Ralph and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beverly loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were the light of her life and made her heart sing.
She was an active member of Eastview Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with her church family. She graduated from Harrisburg High School and attended SIU-Carbondale, Lincoln Land Community College and Springfield College-Illinois.
She retired from the IL State Board of Education after 35 years of service. She enjoyed retirement and spending time with her family, her church family and special friends. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and their fishing trips to Wisconsin for over 20 years. She also enjoyed crocheting and giving the Afghans she made to family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed the flower and angel garden she and her husband created in memory of their granddaughter, Sage.
Gathering: 9:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Eastview Baptist Church, 2277 East Black Ave., Springfield.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Eastview Baptist Church with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
