Beulah E. Lahnum
Beulah E. Lahnum, 88, of Springfield, died at 2:29 am, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 28, 1922 in Charleston, Illinois to Edward Stanton and Mary Fern Frizzel Jones. She married John W. Lahnum on December 25, 1940. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2010. Her parents; two brothers; five sisters and one daughter, Marsha Long also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Eggleston of Springfield and Deborah (Jeffrey) White of Dawson; three sons, John Edward Lahnum of Macomb, Richard W. (Ronda) Lahnum of Sherman and Michael (Leisa) Lahnum of Rochester; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother Robert (Gracie) Jones of Charleston; her dog, Missy and several nieces and nephews.
Beulah was a Homemaker and member of Kumler United Methodist Church where she volunteered. She was a great cook and enjoyed singing and playing the organ.
Visitation: 11am – 1pm, Friday, July 15, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1 pm, Friday, July 15, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Kumler United Methodist Church.
