Betty Jean "Jeanne" Tepker
Betty Jean “Jeanne” Tepker, 63, of Chatham, passed Friday, January 31, 2014 at her home. She was born June 25, 1950, in Xenia, Illinois to James F. and Geneva Miller O’Brien.
Her sweet spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was involved in many organizations within the church and loved to travel to visit her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband George Tepker; her children, Brent (Mary) Pearson of Springfield, Brian (Diana) Pearson of Pittsburgh, PA; step-children, Craig Tepker (Fiancé Kim Reddick) of Gainesville, GA, Melissa (Gary) Dougherty of Chatham and Kevin (Jennifer) Tepker of Bellingham, WA; nine grandchildren;
mother Geneva (Don) Wilty of Flora; brothers, Larry O’Brien, Gary (Connie) O’Brien and Henry (Susan) O’Brien all of Clay County, IL .
She was preceded in death by her father, James F. O’Brien and granddaughter, Charlotte Pearson.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home.
Lie-in-State: 9-10 am, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Darrell Debowey officiating. Burial will be at Oak Mound Cemetery in Xenia, Illinois at 3 pm Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Springfield, Illinois.
