Betty Jean Carnduff, 89, of Springfield, died at 10:39 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1926 in Springfield to George Wayne and Catherine Lucille Conaway Cole. She married John Charles Carnduff, Jr. on February 15, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1991. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers: Elmer L. Cole, R. Glenn Cole and Rial (Pete) Cole; one sister, Louise, one son, Conrad Glen Carnduff and grandson Daniel Christopher Carnduff.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Kay (Paul) Brock of Titusville, FL; two sons: John Wayne (Connie) Carnduff of Flint, MI, and Michael Jerome (Cheryl) Carnduff of Springfield; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Delores Marie Hamende and Joann Williams, both of Springfield and one brother, Kenneth Raymond Cole of Pocatello, ID and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was an Environmental Services Technician at St. John’s Hospital retiring in 1987. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, August 3, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: 9 am, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
