Arthur Emil "Art" Buro
Arthur “Art” Emil Buro, 94, of Lincoln formerly of Springfield, died at 1:35 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Symphony Nursing Home in Lincoln. He was born June 26, 1920 in Hallsburg, TX to Herman and Hulda Kuehn Buro. He married Marietta Eilene Grant on August 24, 1947 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Velda Ann (Dean) Baker of Lincoln; one son Earl Wayne (Marla) Buro of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Grant (Rebecca) Buro and Dyanna (Justin) Motes; one great grandchild, Jackson Buro; four step-grandchildren, Deanna (Gabriel) Peterson; Eric (Sara) Baker, Ryan (Katana) Baker and Monica (Robert) Smith; eight step-great grandchildren, Elise Howell, Andrew Baker, Jacob Baker, Megan Baker, Isaac Baker, Emma Baker, Mara Baker and Aidan Baker; one brother Herman Buro of Waco, TX and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hertha and one brother Leonard.
He was a member of South Side Christian Church. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during WWII.
Art was a cabinet maker by trade. He was a manager for Myers Industries in Lincoln and Moline and Vice President at Coppes, Inc. in Nappanee, IN.
Visitation: 12:30pm-1:30 pm Monday, December 22, 2014 at South Side Christian Church.
Funeral Service: 1:30 pm, Monday, December 22, 2014 at South Side Christian Church with Bob Green officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, IL where military honors will be conducted.
Memorial contributions may be made to South Side Christian Church.

Art was a fine gentleman. My condolences to of of you who loved him. My sister Gaye called today (the 22nd) to let me know. I think of you folks often.
