Arlene Joyce "AJ" Wainwright
Arlene “AJ” Wainwright, 76, of Springfield, IL died at St. John’s Hospital at 7:36 pm Sunday, February 3, 2013. She was born August 26, 1936 in Springfield, to Harry and May Gambrell Duncan.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Phyllis Garlits and a brother, Bill Duncan.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Bohlen and Robin (Clay) Dowis, both of Springfield; a son, Marshall “Bud” (Suzanne) Wainwright of Springfield; nine grandchildren, William and Michelle Keuchler, Sarah Dowis, Marshall (Mackenzie) Wainwright IV, Ryan (Laura) Bohlen, Zach (Dezi) Bohlen, Katie Dowis, Chad Bohlen and Matthew Dowis; five great grandchildren, Isaiah Jack, Mariah Keuchler, Hallie Wainwright, Addilyn “Addie girl” Bohlen and Lilah Wainwright; a sister, Donna Lyle of California, her furry friend, Bootsie and several nieces and nephews.
Arlene retired from the State of Illinois after 25 years of service. She also worked for Human Resources, Teachers’ Retirement and Poston Bricks as a secretary. She enjoyed playing cards with the grandchildren, sewing and gardening.
Memorial Gathering: 5 – 7 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Humane Society.

Bud and Suzanne, I will keep you in prayer during these times. The suddenness of her passing is something that takes time to accept both now and later on. You will be in my thoughts. Bill
