Antoinette M. Havenar, 89, of Springfield, died at 9:35 pm, Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born October 11, 1922 in Springfield, Illinois to Angelo N. and Carmela Sarra Petrone. She married Robert Havenar on February 17, 1945 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1978. Her parents; three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Anthony Petrone and two sisters, Rose Mary and Angelina Petrone also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Havenar of Oakland, CA and Joyce (Dennis) Miller of Springfield; two sons, Thomas E. (Helen) Havenar and Ronald W. (Margie) Havenar both of Springfield; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Antoinette was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She was a Board member for the Springfield City Credit Union and a member of the Women’s Club. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 4pm.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Joseph’s church with Monsignor Thomas Holinga officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church.
