Anna P. Miller
SPRINGFIELD – Anna P. Miller, 94, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 29, 1915, in Springfield, the daughter of Carlos and Regina Lippera Cimarossa. She married Clarence Edward Miller in 1944; he preceded her in death in 1976.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Nick Miller, and two brothers, Frank and Pete Cimarossa.
Mrs. Miller worked at Allis-Chalmers for a year. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Little Flower Church, American Women’s Club, Laketown Association Club, past member of Roman Cultural Society, and Eagles Auxiliary and St. Theresa Guild. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed bowling. She will be remembered by her favorite catchphrase of Hey Kid.
Surviving are two daughters, Sue (Bill) Thomas and Sara Shrake, both of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Jean Miller of Chatham; two sons, Carl (Marlene) Miller of Cape Coral, Fla., and Fred Miller of Springfield; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Enis Neff of Springfield; a brother, Quinto Cimarossa of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with prayers at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Little Flower Church, with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
