Anna Bernice Temperelli
Anna Bernice Temperelli, 98, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Anna was born June 16, 1921 in Petersburg, the daughter of Charlie Kluckman and Emma Maria (Balster) Kluckman. She married Aldo R. Temperelli on December 20, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1991.
Anna attended Athens High School and graduated with the class of 1939. She was a resident of Springfield most of her life She worked for Sangamo Electric for 19 years and was a part of the Rosie the Riveter movement. She then worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company from 1965-1985. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and part of the Group Loyal. Anna was dedicated to her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandkids. She loved to bake her famous angel food cake with caramel icing. She was a member of the Bunco Club for over 50 years and enjoyed playing Bingo. Anna loved to laugh, and enjoyed all of her jobs and had a great work ethic. She spent time watching nature, especially the birds in her back yard. She enjoyed shopping trips and eating out. In the summer she never missed a Chicago Cubs game.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Margery Castellitti, and five brothers, Charles, Edgar, Paul, George and Harold Kluckman.
She is survived by one son, Bob (Mary) Temperelli of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Stacey Ann (Bill) Bredemeyer of Springfield; four grandchildren: Clare (Taylor) Brooks, Amanda Temperelli, Luke Temperelli, and Keegan Bredemeyer, one brother, Jim Kluckman of Mason City and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside service at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
