Amy L. Meyer

Amy L. Meyer, 42, of Springfield, died at 6:00 am, Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her home. She was born August 24, 1970 in Springfield, Illinois to Emil William and Laura Jo Carlove Brincken, II. She married Christopher E. Meyer on April 3, 2010.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher of Springfield; four daughters Krista Boldon (fiancé’ Trevor Trador) of Riverton; Marissa Boldon, Kelsi McCarthy and Abigail McCarthy all of Springfield; two sons, William Brincken (Fiancé’ Nicole Motley of Athens and Sean McCarthy of Springfield; two grandchildren, Joshua and Brooklynn; her mother and step-father, Laura & Ronald Rhoades of Decatur; mother and father-in-law, Kate and DeWayne Meyer of Springfield; two brothers, Emil William “Bill” (Wendi) Bricken, III and Nathan Thomas (Jennifer) Bricken of Dawson; grandparents Joseph Carlove and Mary Carlove both of Springfield; one brother-in-law, Phil Meyer of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father preceded her in death.

Amy enjoyed being in her garden, pool and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed jazz, reading, cooking and taught many of the neighborhood kids how to play baseball.

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
