Amy L. Meyer
Amy L. Meyer, 42, of Springfield, died at 6:00 am, Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her home. She was born August 24, 1970 in Springfield, Illinois to Emil William and Laura Jo Carlove Brincken, II. She married Christopher E. Meyer on April 3, 2010.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher of Springfield; four daughters Krista Boldon (fiancé’ Trevor Trador) of Riverton; Marissa Boldon, Kelsi McCarthy and Abigail McCarthy all of Springfield; two sons, William Brincken (Fiancé’ Nicole Motley of Athens and Sean McCarthy of Springfield; two grandchildren, Joshua and Brooklynn; her mother and step-father, Laura & Ronald Rhoades of Decatur; mother and father-in-law, Kate and DeWayne Meyer of Springfield; two brothers, Emil William “Bill” (Wendi) Bricken, III and Nathan Thomas (Jennifer) Bricken of Dawson; grandparents Joseph Carlove and Mary Carlove both of Springfield; one brother-in-law, Phil Meyer of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father preceded her in death.
Amy enjoyed being in her garden, pool and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed jazz, reading, cooking and taught many of the neighborhood kids how to play baseball.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Rose officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

While I may never cut her bangs crooked or spend the summer with Amy again, those memories will live just as long as her love for her family will. Amy touched so many people that the ripple will go on forever. Love and prayers for all of her family.
What great memories I have of Amy, Billy & Nathan growing up while my mom would baby sit them during the summer months. What a beautiful person Amy was who had lots to give to life. Amy loved her brothers dearly and I am sure she made a wonderful mother. A child should never lose there mother but a mother should never lose her child, Laura my heart goes out to you. What a beautiful spirit Amy had as a child and an adult. She always had a smile and lots of love for her brothers and children. I will always remember her as Billy and Nathan's big sister! So very sorry for your loss! Rhonda Mercier
