Amelia "Molly" Desch

Amelia “Molly” Desch, 96, of Herscher, formerly of Riverton, died at 9:40 pm, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at her home. She was born July 24, 1915 in Springfield to Thomas and Stella Hurt Reilly. She married Carl O. Desch and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1973.
Her parents; step father, Miles Melton; four brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Carl (Carol) Desch of Herscher and Leo (Bess) Desch of Stanford; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. James Church in Riverton. She enjoyed entertaining her family and formerly enjoyed quilting and crafting.
Molly, worked for Riverton School District for sixteen years in the cafeteria as a cook. She was a homemaker and had also worked at St. John’s Hospital.
Visitation: 9-11 am, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at St. James Church in Riverton.
Funeral Mass: 11 am, Saturday October 15, 2011 at St. James Church in Riverton with Reverend Joseph Ring officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park
