Alone Rose Manci
Alone Rose Manci, 84, of Springfield, passed away at home with her family at her side at 4:30 am, Thursday, May 7, 2015. She was born November 8, 1930 in Pana, to Harry Krone and Tillie Grace Daniels Stevens. She was raised in Taylorville.
Survivors include three daughters, Alba Jensen of Plainfield, Gilda (Manci) Moriconi of Springfield and Sabrina Manci of Springfield; two sons, Matthias “Matt” (Elvira) Manci of San Diego, CA and Albert Steven (Kelly) Manci of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Paul (Kelly), Shane and Brandon Moriconi; Joseph, Andrew and Ana Jensen, Emily Wyskiel (Ricky) and Dalton Steven Manci; nine great grandchildren, Alyssa, Morgan, Isabella, Sophie, Natalina, Alex, Mia, Tre and Sophia; one sister-in-law, Durelle Stevens of Tarppe, MD and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alone is preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Mae Bokus, Mary Jane Gray and Jean Hayes; two brothers, Jack and James Stevens; son in law, Ted Jensen and former husband, Albert Manci.
Upon moving to Springfield in 1948, Alone worked for James Machinery and retired from Illinois Department of Revenue after 31 years of service.
Alone was a member of Church of the Little Flower. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and taking care of her flowers and plants.
Visitation: 9 am – 11 am, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
