Alice Marie Sullivan

Alice Marie Sullivan, 86, of Springfield, died at 9:13 pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born December 5, 1925 in Springfield, Illinois to Gerald and Marie Fisherkeller Wheeler. She married Frank L. Sullivan on October 2, 1948, and he survives.
Also surviving are five children, Pam (Dwayne) Brister of Littleton, CO, Mark (Michelle) Sullivan of Chatham, Gary (Julie) Sullivan of Springfield, Sharon (Paul) Robertson of Springfield and John (Brigitte) Sullivan of Mary Esther, FL; beloved dog, Imogene; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (Bea) Wheeler of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of St. Agnes Church and a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She loved spending time with family, traveling, hiking mountains and camping. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, Pinochle and bridge groups.
Alice retired from the State of Illinois where she worked for the Department of Public Health.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 noon Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Agnes Church.
Funeral Mass: 12 noon, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Agnes Church with Revered Robert Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
