Alfred F. DiBernardino
Alfred F. DiBernardino, 86, of North Aurora, IL died on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at The Holmstead in Batavia, IL. He was born February 27, 1926 in Elmwood Park, IL to Arthur and Ida (DiPompeo) DiBernardino. He married Doris M. Viola on September 25, 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2004.
He is survived by three daughters, Diane (John) Sanborn, Susan (Robert) Fredericks of Carol Stream, IL and Mary (Daniel) Shragal of North Aurora, IL; seven grandchildren, William (Mary), Emily (Joseph), Anne, Danny, Carmen, Stephan and Daniella; four great grandchildren, Andrew, Annabelle, Benjamin and Amelia; one sister, Loretta Scarp of Scottsdale, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
Alfred lived in the Chicago area most of his life. He lived for 18 years in Arizona. He worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 134. He was a United States Army Air Corps/Air Force veteran. He was a member of EAA/ Experimental Aircraft Association.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Monday, February 25, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held from 9-10 am Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. James Church in Riverton.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 am Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. James Church in Riverton with Monsignor David Lantz officiating.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

Diane, Susan, Mary, and all the grandchildren off Fred and Doris, we offer our sympathies. We are thinking of all of you at this very sad time. Fred was a great father and grandfather, as well as a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.
